This golf initiation will allow you to learn the basics of the sport, while enjoying a great field that will make you fall in love with this great game.
Golf is one of the few sports that can be practiced throughout life, so it fits completely in the great objective of promoting active and healthy lifestyles, and its inherent characteristics provides singular educational opportunities, regarding the acquisition of values such as honesty, integrity and respect for nature, for others and for themselves.
Golf Story – Golf is an ancient sport, which origins from XV Century Scotland. Other games similar to golf have been practiced in remote times all over the world. The first written rules of golf go back to 1744.
From Scotland, golf reached all over the world, and it is played today in all continents by more than 70 thousand people, what gives it a status of a universal sport.
In Portugal, golf was introduced in the end of the XIX century, and the first club formed in 1890 – the Oporto Golf Club (Espinho), that is one of the oldest in Continental Europe.
The activity will be mainly practical (learning by doing), where the players will do an initiation in a fun way.

ACTIVITY PROVIDED SKILLS - Learn to behave in the practice field, knowing and complying safety rules and respect the concentration of other players. Learning to perform the technical gestures even in basic form. Be able to participate in adapted competitions.
In this activity, there will be enough time to learn new skills and practice them, iniciating the participants in the golf cathegory.
